- There are over 45 different varieties of pumpkins… warty goblin pumpkin, anyone?
- At one time (a long time ago) people thought pumpkins could remedy snake bites and freckles. Why would anyone want to remedy freckles?

- World’s Heaviest Pumpkin Record: As of October 9, 2023 – 2,749 lbs grown by Travis Gienger of Minnesota.
- World’s Largest Pumpkin Pie: As of September 25, 2010 – 3,699 lbs made by the New Bremen Giant Pumpkin Growers of Ohio.
